We love to answer to this question : Why is 3d printing not used to make everything we see at the store?

There are many many reasons but here we are going to just show the most important :

-Printing an item will take much more time than just go to the store and buy it.

Let me tell how much time it need a simple pen to be printed with a 3d printer. Depending on the pen it can take from 30 min to 2 hours to print a simple pen. ( We did tried it ). So the time is crucial if you need something at this right moment.

-Printing will cost more or less the same

How about the money ? Printing costs electricity and material ( PLA ). Is not just that , without a 3d model you can print nothing either. Without making a detailed costs consuming we can say that printing simple items costs in average the same.

-The printed item is not ready to be used

Lets assume that we want to afford the costs and we had some time to print the item we need. After all the printing can we use the item ? Not yet. The item must be polished ,painted or cleaned. So after so much time we can still use the item.

For what can i use a 3d printer for ?

There are hundred of reason for what we can use the 3d printer. Here are the main reasons

The 3d printer is a very useful if is used in a wise way. Using a 3d printer for everything we see or we need at the moment is time consuming and not money saving. May be in a future when a 3d printer of 5 or 6 generation will print a file in 5 minutes will be more useful and many of our wishes we be granted.
